Rare and unusual folk art belt buckle measures approximately 10 cm X 7 cm (4 in. X 3 in.), and weighs approximately seventy grams. German Silver Metal work by Master Silversmith Pepe Romano of Taxco, Mexico. The Inlay materials may include orange Brazil wood, rosewood, mahogany, bone, horn, mother-of-pearl, lavender mother-of-pearl, Pacific abalone, petrified wood, armadillo shell, and other local and natural materials. The Maguey Cactus Belt Buckle was inlaid by Master Craftsman Leonor Villasana, village elder of Tecalpulco, Guerrero Mexico (birth c1940 – 2005). The Maguey Cactus Belt Buckle is art created entirely by hand, Guaranteed 100% Fair Trade, and include a Lifetime Guarantee Curator’s Card.
